Commonwealth University College of Medicine offers 4-year (8 semesters) Bachelor of Science degree programs in Nursing.
Applicants must possess a high school/secondary school diploma or certificate with credits in Mathematics or Calculus, English and Science subjects, including Chemistry and Biology.
Upon successful completion of the programme the graduate is able to: apply the nursing process in the provision and management of safe and effective nursing care to individuals, families and communities; and, function as a member of the nursing profession and multidisciplinary health team in a variety of health care settings.
The graduate is also eligible to take regional and international licensing examinations for entry into professional nursing practice both here and abroad.
The nursing program is full approved by the General Nursing Council of Saint Lucia which grants the pathway for NCLEX examinations in North America.
Students with an Associate degree or diploma in Nursing may be granted admission into the second year of the 4-Year B.Sc. (Nursing) program. Also, applicants with Bachelor degree in life sciences or related programs may be eligible for admission into the 3–Year (6 semesters) degree program in Nursing.
Students completing the Nursing degree program may be eligible to transfer to the 4-Year and 5-Year Doctor of Medicine degree program upon successful completion of all the prerequisite courses.

According to recent data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average salary is $76,600 per year (a little more than $37.31 per hour). Although, Specialty nursing careers can fetch as much as $120,000 annually.
