An accredited medical school refers to an educational institution that has met specific standards of quality and excellence set by recognized accrediting bodies.
CUCOM is listed with WDOMS, and Graduates of the university are eligible for ECFMG certification as International Medical Graduates. CUCOM is at its first stage of CAAMHP Accreditation, reaching the second stage; Its Continuing Professional Development Programs (CPD) are organized per the World Federation of Medical Education Standards, covering International Academy for Continuing Professional Development Accreditation (IACPDA) guidelines; The Program is classified as Continuing Professional Development (CPD), aimed at providing excellent hands-on training for higher level professional competence which will enable them to offer superior specialty care for patients on the specific skill set they want to get training.
CAAM-HP
CUCOM is granted candidacy by Caribbean Accreditation Authority or Education in Medicine and other Health Professions (CAAM-HP).
Through this accreditation, the CAAM-HP provides assurance to medical students, graduates, the medical profession, healthcare institutions, and the public that programs leading to qualifications in medicine meet appropriate national and international standards for educational quality, and that the graduates have a sufficiently complete and valid educational experience.
National Medical Commission (erstwhile MCI)
Commonwealth University College of Medicine has been empanelled by the NMC erstwhile Medical Council of India (MCI). This makes the medical degree from LAU recognised and valid for the students who wish to go back and pursue their careers in India.
