Medical Education for the 21st Century
CUCOM offers numerous opportunities on campus to help students become successful physicians.
The dynamic development of health care, global challenges and the internationalization of higher education have called for a paradigm shift in the way we think about educating physicians and health care workers of the future. CUCOM implemented an extensive curriculum development. The new curriculum focuses on practical education even more than before and aims to train graduates with competitive skills on the global market who are also able to successfully adapt to and manage critical events.
An Institution of Excellence
Your future career as a doctor really starts with your medical school choice.
Founded in 2010 with the goal of drawing the best talent and practices from around the world, CUCOM has become a leading center for academic excellence worldwide. With students and faculty drawn from countries around the world, we truly are an international institution, with a uniquely global perspective, perfectly poised to help educate students in this rapidly shrinking world.

Commitment to Innovation
Educate the next generation of healthcare leaders through innovative learning. CUCOM is committed to providing educational programs of the highest quality to medical students. CUCOM’s innovative approach to medical education has made us a pioneer in the use of technology to teach medicine in ways that are now emulated by other leading medical schools.
Simulation Center
CUCOM Simulation Center’s advanced, high-fidelity simulation tools create a realistic environment for you to master skills and behaviours. Here, you can learn from mistakes without compromising the well-being of human patients. Develop and grow crucial clinical behaviours such as performing a history and physical exam, using appropriate interpersonal communication, and engaging in accurate clinical reasoning.
Problem-Based Learning
Problem-based learning is an innovative and challenging approach to medical education–innovative because it is a new way of using clinical material to help students learn, and challenging because it requires the medical teacher to use facilitating and supporting skills rather than didactic, directive ones.
Virtual Reality
These platforms allow students to wear 3D headsets and use remote controls to virtually “walk through” various organs. It help medical students access simulated surgeries in realistic 3D environments, providing them with hands-on experiences that would be difficult or impossible to replicate safely otherwise.
Clinical Skills Exam Lab
CUCOM’s Clinical Skills Exam Lab emphasizes physical examination skills and incorporates the use of standardized patients. Connect your classroom learning with practical, real-world scenarios and develop the skills to deliver outpatient care with time-sensitive needs.
Mastering Your Skills Through Repetition
In our Clinical Skills Exam Lab, you will master patient care skills in a safe and controlled environment. By repeatedly practicing simulation scenarios with standardized patients-real individuals with a real story- you will hone your decision-making ability and increase your confidence in dealing with actual patients.
- Learn to solve problems together and develop real-world working relationships.
- Maximize your learning experience with immediate feedback and debriefing, assessment of skills, and continuous professional development.
Academic Technology
As healthcare and medical training continually evolve, we continually seek ways to keep pace and anticipate challenges in the future. CUCOM academic technology and campus resources facilitate an active, learner-centered approach to medical education.
